Best Clinique Products

Smooth, healthy skin doesn’t necessarily have to come down to lucky genes. Common problems such as age spots, fine lines, blemishes and large pores can often be greatly improved with the right skincare regime. It all comes down to choosing the right product for your skin type so it can target your problem areas without causing irritation.

What Makes Clinique Different?

All their products are formulated without fragrance and other known allergens, and each one is tested 12 times on a group of 600 people. That’s 7.200 applications, and if even just one person has a reaction or signs of irritation, they start over from scratch.

Why is this important? According to the American Academy of Dermatology, fragrance is one of the most common causes of contact dermatitis. This is an allergic reaction that can appear on your skin when it comes into contact with certain ingredients, and can cause redness, itchiness, dry flakes and irritation.

If you continue using products that cause any sort of irritation, it can weaken your skin’s integrity and contribute to the aging process. So it’s important to take a look at the ingredients that go into your favorite skincare products and try to stay away from common irritants (parabens, sulfites, mineral oil, etc…)

Clinique believe that even if you’re not born with great skin and suffer from common issues such as breakouts, enlarged pores, dark spots, and redness, you can cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize your way to a clear, luminous complexion.

You just need the right product for your skin type.

Hyperpigmentation

The appearance of dark spots, discoloration, and an uneven skin tone is often due to hyperpigmentation. This is due to an overproduction of melanin in certain areas of your body, and is usually most noticeable on your nose, cheeks, jawline, forehead, chin, hands, and arms.

It can be caused by several factors, such as exposure to the sun, genetics, your age, hormonal influences, and skin inflammation.

Some of the best ways to reduce dark spots are to avoid spending lots of time in the sun, keeping your skin hydrated by using a moisturizer with SPF protection, and gently exfoliate to help get rid of dead skin cells on the surface.

Fine Lines And Wrinkles

The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are a normal part of the aging process. But you can avoid some of the signs of premature aging by using sunscreen every time you leave the house, and by taking some steps to look after your skin.

Keeping your skin moisturized is one of the best ways to encourage a youthful complexion. Drinking plenty of water and using the right moisturizer for your skin type can help make it plumper, mask the appearance of wrinkles, and promote natural elasticity.

Nutrient rich creams and serums can also help boost your skin’s elasticity and promote a more youthful glow.

Blemishes

A blemish on your skin can be classed as marks or areas of discoloration. There are several different types and causes, but some of the most common include acne, scars, age spots, and an uneven skin tone.

Raised pustules, pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads can also be grouped under blemishes, and are often due to hair follicles getting clogged with sebum, bacteria, or dirt.

The best way to reduce blemishes is to use a gentle cleanser, exfoliate, and use a moisturizer or serum that suits your skin type. With the proper skin care routine, you should be able to make visible improvements.

Redness

One of the most common reasons you might notice redness on your face, red pimples, or fine red lines is a condition known as rosacea. It’s often confused with adult acne, and although it’s not curable, it can usually be controlled with the right products.

Some things can exacerbate rosacea such as alcohol, spicy food, heat, and stress, but there are creams that can offer relief and reduce redness over time.

Enlarged Pores

The pores on your face are essential for keeping your skin soft and hydrated, but sometimes they can look more prominent if they’re clogged with oil, dilated, or infected.

Why does it happen? People with oily skin tend to have naturally larger pores as your skin is thicker and produces more oil. It can also be due to decreased skin elasticity which happens with age, and can also be an effect of sun damage.

Getting rid of any debris, excess oil, and bacteria by using a cleanser can be a good way to tighten your pores, as well as using creams rich in retinol, Vitamin A, and antioxidants to help promote your skin’s elasticity and encourage the production of elastin.

This concentrated serum helps refine pores to make your skin look smoother and more youthful. It works by clearing out debris, oil, and rough flakes and tightens pores so they appear smaller.

Conclusion

Ever since I bought my first lipstick I’ve been a Clinique convert. I love the fact that all their products are fragrance-free and I’ve never suffered from breakouts or irritated skin.

Their targeted skincare products really do seem to work, but if I had to choose one, I’d buy the Smart Custom-Repair Serum. Although it’s a little pricier, it gets to work on so many problems at once that you shouldn’t need to invest in any other expensive creams.

It can help improve fine lines and wrinkles, evens out your skin tone and improves elasticity to keep your skin radiant and smooth.

It’s never too early to start looking after your skin. Don’t wait until you notice fine lines and dark spots, and help keep your complexion nourished, elastic and luminous by using a high-quality skincare brand that won’t irritate your skin.
